It's the Hubbards!!!

Hey Dudes!
So its been a super long time since I've written anything on the lovely blog. So I thought I would write a tiny update :)

This week I've been really jealous that Mom & Dad get to go to California and visit Andrew & Kate. So we've been taking care of dear Paytee boy and trying to keep Levi from giving him a heart attack. I had jury duty which was quite an experience. If you want to know more I'll definitely give you some details. Andrew is currently putting together a plan to build us a new bed stand/frame for our sweet new memory foam mattress that should be arriving tomorrow! So if anyone wants to come for an overnighter we have a very comfy pillow top bed in the guest room.

Love you to all and can't wait to start seeing some of your dear faces over the coming holidays!

Michigan Fall Harvest

It's fall in Michigan and what a beautiful time of year!!  Everything is ready for harvest and that makes Mark and Brande very busy. The Michigan Schiller's have moved into their new home or should I say farm with chickens included!!  What a wonderful place to raise Maizie and get settled in!!! A bit different than their Chicago home in the suburbs.  The difference has been good and Maizie has no complaints.  In fact we would say she is thriving especially in her potty skills.  What a little ham for 14 months and a smartie.  Her Dad and Aunt's were definitely not this proficient at this age and I don't think as cute(sorry guys, but it is true)!  :)  Opa and Oma are mesmerized and very much in love with our sweet pea. I am excited to say that I have officially picked warm farm fresh eggs and concord grapes for jelly.  Brande made the jelly which I cannot wait to sample and also amazing squash soup. Now all I can say is how lonesome I am for you all and cannot wait until Thanksgiving when we gather around the table to humbly give thanks to our God for all that He has done.  Love you my children.

Andrew and I made it through test week #1! It was a doozy but we are so glad it's over! Check out a new post with some pictures of how decided to unwind. Counting the days until we get to see you all! Missing you all! Hope MI farming is going steady and IL craziness is being kept at bay. Love and miss you guys.

California Girl visits!!

Kate Evelsizer arrived at O'Hare from Loma Linda, CA with a fun weekend in store with the bride-to be Karin Henley and a little family time as well.  It is never long enough, but we take what we can get and it was such a blessing.  Looking forward to a trip to your neck of the woods Andrew and Kate in November!!  Praying for you as you buckle down into your studies and new job!  God is such a giver and this new chapter of your life is a gift with challenges you will rise to meet.

Maizie's 1st Birthday

What a fun visit Opa and Oma had visiting the Michigan Schiller's.  A special one and only granddaughter had an outstanding first birthday and if you don't believe that she stole the show, view the pictures.  Maizie is such a happy little girl and soooo loves her Mommy and Poppy!!  She is all about books and toys and discovering the intracacies of anything she can get her hands on. It is amazing to see what a long attention span she has and Opa thinks she has qualities of being a great mathematician.  :) !!  She spreads so much joy wherever she goes and it is obvious that she has been cared for and loved deeply.  Kudos to Mark and Brande for being such great parents!!  Thank you for our time together. Can't wait to visit again and see your new home once you have moved in!!  We pray for you all daily.

Hitting the trails

Here's some fun pictures of us hiking in the San Bernardino mountains!! We decided it was one of the coolest things we've been able to do since being out here, and maybe even the best hiking. Andrew wants to get me on some mountain biking trails...eek! Mom, do you still have out wrist protectors, knee pads, elbow pads, and helmets? Maybe I should grab the butt pad too. It's pretty rocky out there, ha. It was such a fun day!
